I opted for a desktop application over web-based alternatives purely from personal preference, selecting Tk as the graphical framework to ensure cross-platform compatibility beyond macOS. While briefly contemplating compiled languages, I ultimately chose Python due to its robust Tk integration and pre-existing compatibility with my CSV processing pipeline, guaranteeing minimal formatting disruptions in version control. Though familiar with Tk applications, this marked my first development attempt, and I was astonished by its accessibility. The project spanned several days of intermittent work, predominantly dedicated to learning Tk fundamentals.
